1.1 NHC Stormwater Pre-Engineered Metal Building Workshop: The work consists of furnishing labor and materials for construction of new PEMB Workshop structure. This project includes any needed infrastructure as detailed within Contract Documents as well as associated grading and drainage work. All requirements and specifications as detailed within Drawing Set titled and attached hereto: "NHC Stormwater PEMB Workshop Construction Document" by Mark Loudermilk Architects, dated 08/05/22. 1.2 NHC Stormwater Pre-Engineered Metal Building Alternate: In lieu of steel pre-engineered metal building package, provide pricing for14-gauge pre-engineered metal kit building which will meet Risk Category II and the wind design for the location. Basis of Design: Powerbilt Steel Buildings; contact Jeff Morehead jeffm@powerbiltsteel.com . Bidder to include all engineering costs within this package. Dimensions: 50'W x 60'L x 24'H with vertical roof style; roof pitch 3/12; (2) 16'x16' garage doors; (2) 36x36 windows; (2) 36x90 walk-in doors; side height to be 24'; (1) awning over walk-in door. Bids will be received for a Single Prime Contract. Bidders must be properly licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statues and pre-qualified in accordance with New Hanover County's pre-qualification ordinance. No Bid may be withdrawn for a period of thirty (30) days after bid opening date. The bidder shall make good faith efforts, as defined in the bid specifications, to subcontract 10% of the dollar value of the single prime contract to businesses owned and controlled by minorities. The County reserves the right to waive any informalities, to reject any or all bids, and to accept that Bid or Bids which is in the best interest of the County It is requested that prospective Bidders review the bidding documents and submit their questions to David King by emailing dking@nhcgov.com no later than 3:00 PM on Thursday, July 20th, 2023. Responses will be posted as an addendum no later than July 21 @ 5pm..
