A Job Order Contract is an indefinite quantity construction contract pursuant to which the Contractor may perform an ongoing series of individual Projects at different locations throughout the County. Job Order Contracting is typically used for small to medium repair and rehabilitation work, replacement in kind projects, and minor new construction. The bid documents include a Construction Task Catalog® containing construction tasks with preset Unit Prices. All Unit Prices are based on local labor, material and equipment prices and are for the direct cost of construction. Question Deadline 09/15/2023 at 5:00 PM PT Each bid shall be made out on the Bid Form contained in the specifications. Each bid shall be submitted in accordance with the detailed specifications and other Contract Documents as required in the body of this bid. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond. Bids must be accompanied by bidder’s security of $25,000. The term of this Contract is 365 calendar days. The successful bidder shall furnish a payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of $2,000,000 each as security for the payment of all persons performing and furnishing materials in connection with this Contract. If the aggregate outstanding Job Orders issued under the contract exceeds $2,000,000, increases in the Payment and Performance Bonds in increments of $500,000 will be required such that the amount of the Payment and Performance Bonds are not less than one hundred percent (100%) of the outstanding aggregate Job Orders issued. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Butte reserves the right to reject any or all bids or alternate bids deemed not advantageous to the County of Butte, and to waive any informality in any bid received. The award, if made, will be executed within forty-five (45) calendar days after opening of bids Bidder must be currently licensed in the State of California for the Work to be performed and shall possess a Class “B” General Building license, a Class “C-10” Electrical license, a Class “C-20” Warm-Air Heating, Ventilating and Air-Conditioning license, or any combination thereof and shall maintain a valid license through completion and acceptance of the Work, including the guarantee and acceptance period. Failure of the successful Bidder to obtain proper adequate licensing shall constitute a failure to execute the Contract and shall result in the forfeiture of the Bidder’s security Bids shall incorporate the prevailing hourly rate of per diem wages for this locality and project as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code 1770 et. seq
