The work under Contract No. No. 1 for Rehabilitation of Oak Orchard Road Bridge over Oak Orchard Creek is located within the Town of Elba between North Byron Road to the south and Watson Road to the north, approximately 285 feet north of the intersection with North Byron Road. The work at the site includes the total replacement of the existing bridge superstructure, substructure alterations and the reconstruction of the adjacent roadway sections. The bridge work consists of replacing the existing deteriorated superstructure with adjacent prestressed concrete solid slab units as well as modifications to the existing substructures. The highway work consists of approximately 100 feet of full depth reconstruction. New box beam guide railing will be carried over the structure and onto the approaches. An off-site detour will be used to maintain traffic during construction.
