All responses must include: There is a 30 percent BEP goal for this procurement. See solicitation documentation for details. There is a 3 percent Veteran-owned business goal for this procurement. See solicitation documentation for details. The contract(s) for this solicitation could exceed $50,000 annually. The UIC Center for Structural Biology Improvements is a renovation of approximately 9,000SF of the existing building. The renovations consist of changing a conference room to an open office area with desks. Renovation of an existing lab to a dry lab with a Biosafety Cabinet. Converts an office into a wet lab with a chemical fume hood. Two additional wet labs are renovated. An existing server/computer room will locate additional freezers and a UPS. The Lab and Instrument room is used to house a JEOL 200MF and a JEOL 1400 Microscopes. A Chiller/Mechanical room is used to house the equipment required for both microscopes. A Prep room is also designed to provide an area to prepare samples for study. A Computing room holds a server rack that is linked to JEOL 200MF microscope and the information it discovers. A storage room is provided to help add a dedicated storage space within the facility. The main Lab and Instrument room locates mass spectrometry equipment, related peripherals, Helium Recovery bladder, and two existing NMR's. A storage room houses the Helium Recovery equipment. A new generator and fencing will be installed as part of the project scope so work will be included in the Generator room. No changes have been made to occupancy or occupancy count. No change has been made to the existing restrooms or any changes have been made to require a change to the current plumbing fixture counts. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or any part thereof, to waive any informalities in the bidding.
