The Project consists of constructing the following major items: o Installation of approximately 5,700 LF of 8" Force Main, 370 LF of 4" Force Main, and 980 LF of 8" Gravity Sewer. o Replacement of Old Lagoon Pump Station, decommissioning of Pines Pump Station, and rehabilitation of Elm St, Hilltop Oaks, King Dr., & Shaw Rd Pump Stations to ensure SCADA equipment, permanent generators, bypass connections, and spare pumps are present where required. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a lump sum and unit price basis, as indicated in the Bid Form. Bidders will be required to show evidence that they are licensed to perform the work in the Bidding Documents as required by North Carolina General Statute, Chapter 87 and the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security in the amount of five percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid and shall be subject to the conditions provided in the Instructions to Bidders. Bidders shall be required to submit with their Bids affidavits of the "Good Faith Efforts" in the recruitment of Minority Businesses Questions may be faxed or e-mailed. Submittal with questions shall include the project name, the person's name submitting the question, firm, telephone number, fax number and email The Contractor shall furnish a performance bond and a payment bond, each in an amount at least equal to the Contract Price The Work will be substantially completed within 330 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run as provided in Paragraph 4.01 of the General Conditions, and completed and ready for final payment in accordance with Paragraph 15.06 of the General Conditions within 360 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run
