Construction of the Western Hospital New Patient Tower Project. TIMELINE: A Request For Proposals from Commissioning Agents for Toronto Western Hospital New patient Tower Project has been issued by the owner. The scope of work for the Commissioning Agent relates to the building systems as described in the Outline Design Narrative, the design briefs, and 100 percent Design Development package together with the other supporting documents. The procurement of the Mechanical and Electrical systems will be on a design-assist basis. The Commissioning Agent will be expected to have some involvement during the design-assist process and to completion of construction documents. This will include peer review and comment on documents prepared by the Design Team; participation in design meetings; periodic peer reviews with the design-assist trades, Construction Manager, and other team members to ensure that the intent of the Owner and requirements are achieved. Refer to Scope of Work for additional detail.
