Existing interior gutter that needs repair is approximately 235 linear feet in length. Removal of roof panels from the eave to the first end lap up from the eave and slide upslope to expose the insulation from the eave strut to the first purlin and the gutter removing existing liner. Furnish and install a new 4-inch-thick vinyl reinforced fiberglass insulation over the existing eave strut and secure. Furnish and install new 18-gauge stainless steel flange back gutter. New straps to be screwed to the to the existing eave strut. All gutter joints to be field soldered/welded at butt joints. Reinstall existing roof panels with new washer head screws through existing holes into existing purlins and eave strut. Install new washer head lap screws at side laps of panels at existing hole locations. Furnish and install new foam eave closures under each roof panel. Coat existing panel end lap where the original seal was disturbed for removal of panels with new high solids silicone coating. The roof panels shall be replaced at the new gutter with new stainless-steel screws per roofing manufacturer's recommendations. Reattach existing PVC downspouts to new downspout outlets. Glue and/or repair new 1-inch polyiso insulation to side and bottom of new gutter inside the building to match existing and minimize condensation. New ridge insulation shall be adhered to the outside of the exposed gutter to minimize condensation. Upon job completion, repair/replace damaged batt insulation adjacent to the new gutter installation. Work will include to remove and replace only as much as can be done in one day to keep building watertight at the end of each day with temporary tie-in. Safety Perimeter to be maintained. After contractor checks in at the Facilities Management office, access will be arranged on a daily basis. Upon completion, contractor will be available to job walk area to assess work. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted in writing to the Procurement contact person listed on the cover page (corey.brooks@unioncountync.gov). Deadline for questions is July 14, 2023, at 4:00 PM local time. The County reserves the right to reject any and/or all bids, including, without limitation, nonconforming, nonresponsive, unbalanced, or conditional bids. The County also reserves the right to waive informalities and request clarification as needed.
