The intent of the Contract Documents is to prescribe a complete outline of the work which the Contractor undertakes to do in full compliance with the Contract. He/she shall furnish all required materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals, unless otherwise provided in the Contract, and shall include the cost of these items in the unit prices Bid for the several units of work. This project involves the complete rehabilitation of three sanitary sewer duplex lift stations located at Bradford Lane, Pine Lake, and Bonnie Brae Subdivision, including the removal of existing and installation of new control panels and pumps. The City is in possession of new pumps and control panels for all three sites, to be installed by the Contractor. Bid security in the form of a certified bank check or bank draft payable to the City of Carbondale, or a satisfactory bid bond, in the amount of 10% of the total bid price, as specified in Section 2-7 of the General Conditions and the City of Carbondale's Policy for Disadvantaged Business Enterprise and/or Workforce Participations Goals in Contracts are required to be submitted with the Bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informality or technicality in any proposal in the interest of the City.
