The Work includes rehabilitation of manholes by means of chemical grouting, rebuilding the top portion of manholes, applying cementitious spray-on interior manhole linings, rebuilding manhole benches and channels, and miscellaneous other work to rehabilitate or replace manholes. The Work also includes CIPP Lining of sanitary sewers. A significant portion of all means of work is located within the railroad right-of-way. Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all required permits to work within the railroad right-of-way, including all required insurance and training. Each bid bond or check shall be in the amount of five percent (5%) of the bid amount A Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount For bids awarded over $100,000, the awarded contractor will be required to furnish a Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract amount, and said bond to be issued by a responsible surety approved by the City and shall guarantee the faithful performance of the Contract and the terms and conditions therein contained. Potential prime contractors are required to comply with the City's Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive technicalities and irregularities, if it is deemed in the public interest to do so. If any person contemplating submitting a Bid for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans, specifications, or other proposed contract documents, they may submit to the City a written request for an interpretation thereof. The person submitting the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Any interpretation of the proposed documents will be made only by addendum duly issued or delivered to each person receiving a set of such documents. The City will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretations of the proposed documents. Questions must be submitted on IonWave through the questions tab no later than July 14, 2023, at noon. An addendum will be posted with the bid documents, containing the questions and answers, no later than July 18, 2023.
