An existing pipeline serves 33 properties between North Meadow View Drive and Edgewood Drive, the majority within North Day Road and Forest Park Lane. It is undersized and past its useful life. The existing pipe will be abandoned in place and a new 8-inch pipeline will replace it nearby. The new pipe is approximately 3,820 feet long, will include four fire hydrants, and 23 new meter installations and connections. Ten existing services will be reconnected to the new pipeline. The project will also be within Caltrans right-of-way related to Highway 174. The Caltrans permit will be followed for this portion of the project. Location: North Day Road - Grass Valley, California 94945 If any person contemplating the submittal of a quote for the proposed contract is in doubt as to the true meaning of any requirement of the Contract Documents or finds any discrepancies in, or omissions there from, he/she may submit to Nevada Irrigation District, 1036 West Main Street, Grass Valley, CA 95945, a written request for an interpretation or correction thereof. Such written requests may be sent by fax to (530) 477-2646 or via e-mail to schneider@nidwater.com. The written request must be received at least ten (10) calendar days prior to the date fixed for opening of quotes. The person making the request will be responsible for its prompt delivery. Where considered appropriate by the District, responses to written requests will be made in addenda issued to all registered plan holders. The District will not be responsible for any other explanations or interpretation of the Contract Documents other than through an addendum. Oral interpretations of any provision in the Contract Documents given before the award of the contract will not be binding. The owner has decided to have their own maintenance crew handle the project.
