SBE goal of fifteen percent (15%) for the work to be performed. All questions received during the Inquiry Period will be answered via Addendum 2 no later than 5:00pm Friday, July 14, 2023. a) The project is located on the Regional Transportation District's Central Light Rail Corridor and consists of a 90-degree curve crossing both 14th Street and California Street. b) The intent of this scope of work is to repair the existing light rail guideway at the intersection of 14th and California in downtown Denver. c) Work is to be completed on all track-way work within the consecutive calendar days agreed upon by CCD and RTD. It is anticipated that this project will take 10 calendar days depending on site conditions to complete with working hours of 7:00 am to 7:00 pm Monday - Friday and 8:00 - 4:00 on Saturday and Sunday. d) Protect all existing utilities in place. Contractor is responsible for calling UNCC and hiring private locate company to locate RTD and other utilities prior to construction. If necessary, potholing may be desired based on surface locates and will be paid for as incidental to the Work. Potholing shall be the responsibility of the Contractor. e) The Contractor is responsible for the demolition, removal and disposal of all material indicated in the contract drawings, including, but not limited to concrete pavement, concrete curb and gutter, concrete railroad ties, rail, and ballast. f) After the removal of the existing trackway, the Contractor shall survey any exposed conduits or subsurface infrastructure and include them on final As Built drawing set. g) The Contractor shall address any soil compaction issues or drainage issues found prior to building new trackway section. h) RTD will provide the Contractor all rail materials, inclusive of e-clips, rail pads, concrete ties, pre-curved running rail and restraining rail and flangeway fillers. See Contract Specification Section 01 64 00 - Owner-Furnished Materials for a complete list. i) The Contractor shall provide all survey work required to layout new track work both horizontally and vertically. j) The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials not indicated on the Owner Furnished Materials list to complete the project as shown in the Issued for Construction Drawings. k) Concrete pavement replacement between tracks is to be included in the LRT shutdown period. Concrete pavement replacement must be complete prior to removal of traffic control. Concrete pavement shall not be opened to traffic until CCD specified strength is attained. l) The reopening of 14th and California Streets is subject to the completion of work performed and accepted by RTD. m) The repair must be compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). n) Upon completion, the RTD Project Manager or his/her designee will inspect the work for compliance with the Issued for Construction Drawings. o) Any work done outside RTD ROW (i.e., in City and County of Denver (CCD) ROW) shall be completed using CCD specifications and standard details. Any street pavement, subgrade preparation or utility work on CCD streets shall be done in accordance with CCD specifications and standard details. p) The Contractor shall provide RTD as-built survey information related to the new trackway alignment, utilities uncovered during demolition, utility infrastructure moved during construction, etc. q) After construction is complete, but prior to removal of the site protective fencing and traffic control, RTD will inspect the new construction and sign off on the Certifiable Items List, generated by RTD prior to opening rail service. The Contractor shall immediately address any concerns identified during this inspection.
