**As of August 22, 2023, this project has been awarded. Awarded contractors are Salisbury Excavating (Contract 1), RCL Construction (Contract 2), and Maguire Iron (Contract 3) .** Contract No. 1 - Water Distribution: Items of work include approximately 2,500 feet of watermain installation through direct bury on Blevins Street, Pine Street, Main Street, Clark Street, River Alley, and Third Street. The work also includes abandoning existing watermains, connecting to existing watermains, new water services, valves, and new fire hydrants at various locations. Restoration work includes asphalt paving, concrete paving, concrete sidewalk and ramps, gravel driveways, curb and gutter replacement, topsoil and seeding and all related work. This contract also includes replacing the Villages water meters and implementation of a new radio-read reading system. Contract No. 2 - Water Supply: The project includes drilling one new Type 1 well, installation of a pump for the new well, construction of one new well house, new chemical feed system at the well house, the addition of one standby generator at the new one, and one at an existing well house, electrical work at two existing well houses, and all related work. Contract No. 3 - Water Storage: This project includes the construction of one new 150,000 elevated water storage tank, including but not limited to: tree removal, gravel driveway construction, concrete, watermain connections to the existing distribution system, utility coordination, site grading and drainage ditch establishment, surface restoration, and all related work. Demolition of the existing water storage standpipe, which includes all grouting, capping, etc. required for abandonment of all distribution piping from the existing storage tank, relocation of water meter communication equipment to the new tank, and all related work. Existing storage abandonment shall not be completed until the new storage tower is in service. The Village of Marion reserves the right to accept any bid, reject any or all bids, to waive informalities and make the award in any manner deemed in the best interest of the Village of Marion.
