1. Lee County Government of NC invites written proposals for a Comprehensive Feasibility Study for the Lee County Jail Facility (referred to as Facility), located at 1400 South Horner Blvd, Sanford, NC 27330. The purpose of this Comprehensive Facility Feasibility Study (referred to herein as the Study) is to determine the effectiveness, efficiency, security, structural integrity, and capacity of required detention facility space. Lee County will form a Jail Project Committee based on needs for the jail project. The committee will evaluate firms from the material submitted in response to this Request for Proposals. All interested firms must complete a full proposal based on the scope of services specified herein. Based on a review of submitted proposals, the committee may interview selected firms prior to making a final decision. The committee reserves the right to modify the selection process based on information provided in the RFP submittals. 2. Lee County Jail Facility The Lee County Jail Facility occupies about 2/3 of the County Courthouse/Jail Facility, built in 1994, and is located at 1400 South Horner Blvd. Sanford, NC 27330. The Facility has a capacity of 126 inmates. The Facility includes a mixture of minimum, medium, maximum, and special housing units along with a female dormitory. The Facility also includes all of the supporting services required for the Jail operation.
