The Contractor shall provide all necessary permits, labor, machinery, tools, and specified materials to identify and document existing water service line material, and install, adjust, repair, and/or replace curb stops, curb boxes, service lines, meters, internal plumbing, and appurtenances of DMWW customers, including sitework, restoration, and cleanup during the calendar year in accordance with the specifications provided The term of the Contract shall be August 1, 2023 through May 31, 2024. The goal is 100 lead water service line replacements completed in 2023. Replacement of service lines from the water main to the stop box are generally located in the public right of way. Replacement of service lines from the stop box to the meter will require access to private property and owner's consent. Estimated quantities shown on the Proposal are not guaranteed. The Board reserves the right to defer acceptance of any Proposal for a period not to exceed forty-five (45) calendar days from the date of receipt of Proposals. Des Moines Water Works is a registered political subdivision of the State of Iowa and, as such, is not required to pay sales tax for taxable services or tangible goods. Therefore, this Proposal shall not include any Iowa sales tax Thank you for your interest in this project.
