The City of Schertz is accepting Request for Bids for construction services of the 2023 SPAM RESURFACING PROJECT. Questions are due in writing no later than Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 5:00 P.M (CST). All questions in reference to this procurement must be directed to the Purchasing Department in writing at purchasing@schertz.com. The City of Schertz reserves the right to refuse and reject any or all responses, waive any or all formalities or technicalities, accept the response or portions of the response determined to be the best and most advantageous to the City, and hold the responses for a period of 90 days without taking action. The City of Schertz reserves the right to accept responses from more than one firm determined to be the best option for the City. Respondents are required to hold their responses firm for the same period of time. WORK SEQUENCE: A. Construct work in stages to provide proper coordination with work by others. Coordinate the construction schedule and operations with the OWNER's representative. Reference to General Conditions Item 5.15, Sequence of Work and Section 01110, 1.03. o Notify residents of planned work o Set up traffic control measures. Maintain private and business access at all times o Remove existing pavement markings and raised pavement markers. o Confirm street surface suitable for slurry seal application, prepare as per specifications. o Complete slurry seal application. o Clean up.
