Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi State Law and show a Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the Instructions to bidders. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. The Contract Time is Forty-five (45) consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages being Five Hundred Dollars ($500) per calendar day thereafter. Projectscope includes, but is not limited to, the installation of 840 linear feet of 8" C-900 waterline, 40 linear feet of 8" I.D. HDPE DR-11 water main (directional bore), connection to existing water mains (cold cut) at four locations, installation of three 8" gate valves, installation of flowable fill to 320 linear feet of existing 8" water main, the capping of the existing water main and all other associated work required to complete all as shown and specified in the plans and contract documents.
