The Bay Area Toll Authority (BATA) is seeking a qualified firm (Consultant) to perform A&E services for Independent Cost Estimator (ICE) and Scheduler and to advise Caltrans and BATA on cost-related and schedule issues in support of Construction Manager/General Contractor (CMGC) services for the Open Road Tolling Project at the seven (7) state-owned bridge toll plazas. The Consultant shall not be affiliated with the CMGC Contractor and must have experience performing contractor style or production-based estimating to assist BATA and Caltrans in reconciling cost estimates with the CMGC Contractor. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Questions Due Date: Jul 19th 2023, 4:00 PM PDT It is currently anticipated that the selected Proposer shall submit payment and performance bonds upon execution of the Construction Contract. The payment bond shall be equal to 100 percent of the Agreed Price and the performance bond shall be equal to 50 percent of the Agreed Price. Proposers shall demonstrate their capacity to obtain the required bonds Project ID 0422000286 BATA expects the work to commence on or about October 1, 2023, and to be completed no later than October 1, 2028. At BATAs sole option, the contract may be extended for three (3) additional years for work contemplated by Appendix A, Scope of Work.
