McDowell Tech Old Fort for McDowell Technical Community College The Town of Old Fort, North Carolina is seeking bids from General Contractors for the above-referenced project. The United States Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration is providing partial funding for this project (EDA Investment No. 04-79-07750) and therefore is subject to the Federal laws and regulations associated with that program. Project Description: Project consists of approximately 5,248 sq. ft. alteration of a portion of the existing Rocket Motors building in Old Fort to serve as a satellite instructional campus for McDowell Technical Community College. Bid Submittal and Opening: Owner will receive sealed lump sum bids until the bid time and date at the location given below. Owner will consider bids prepared in compliance with the Instructions to Bidders issued by Owner, and delivered as follows: Bid Date: August 15, 2023. Bid Time: 2:30 p.m., local time. Location: McDowell Technical Community College, Building #17 Board Room, 54 College Drive, Marion, NC 28752. Bids will be thereafter publicly opened and read aloud. Printed Procurement and Contracting Documents: All registered bidders and suppliers may obtain online access by written request, forwarded via email to chastity@h-harchitects.com. Qualified prime bidders may obtain one complete set of documents upon deposit of $150.00 made payable to the Owner. The Town of Old Fort, North Carolina reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities.
