Reference Number The proposed project will consist of full depth roadway reconstruction and resurfacing, new sidewalk construction, the construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Elm Street and Westfield Street, and enhanced bicycle and pedestrian accommodations. Other work will include drainage work, utility adjustments, landscaping, the installation of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFBs), lighting, and improved roadway signage. The project limits along Elm Street are from Worthen Street to Park Street. The project length is approximately 1325 linear feet (0.25 miles) for the Base Bid, Add Alt No,1, Add Alt No,2, and Add Alt. No.3. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond from a licensed surety company, or a Cerfied check, or a Treasurers or Cashiers check in the amount of five (5%) percent of the base bid payable to the Town of West Springfield. A Payment bond and a performance bond in the amount of 100% of the Contract Price will be required of the Successful Bidder. The successful bidder will also be required to furnish workmens compensaon insurance and public liability insurance.
