Scope : Complete renovations at 1101 E. Pine Street, Florence, SC. PERFORMANCE/PAYMENT BONDS A performance and payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the final contract price of the construction portion of this project will be required of the successful firm. The successful firm will be required to furnish the required performance and payment bonds within ten (10) business days after written notice of formal award of contract. Work will be required to commence within ten (10) days of written notice to proceed by the Purchasing Agent. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with "Bid No. 2023-54: 1101 E. Pine Street" clearly marked on the outside of the envelope for easy identification by the City of Florence. This project will be funded by Housing and Urban Development (HUD) grants. It is subject to state and federal rules & regulations pertaining to HUD as well as Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). INSTRUCTION TO BIDDERS : The successful bidder must have a South Carolina General Contractors License or South Carolina Residential License and must be authorized to sell the stated product or perform the services outlined in the specifications of this bid document. INQUIRIES: Questions concerning this invitation to bid should be directed to the City Purchasing Agent, Lynwood F. Givens in writing by e-mail at lgivens@cityofflorence.com. The deadline for the submission of all inquiries is August 29, 2023 at 5:00 pm. Any changes to the specifications in the bid package shall be in writing in an addendum. All Addendums will be posted on the City of Florence website. It will be the responsibility of bidders to periodically check the website for addendums. The City of Florence reserves the right to reject any and all responses, to cancel this solicitation, and to make an award deemed in its own best interest.
