Greater Lawrence Technical High School is inviting sealed proposals from experienced and qualified contractors to undertake the following scope of services: re-paving the parking lot and access roads encompassing the entire perimeter of the High School, installation of new curbing and sidewalks (in specific areas), and implementation of general site improvements. We are looking for reliable and competent contractors to deliver these crucial enhancements to our school premises. Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. questions due date: July 10, 2023 at 12PM Questions are to be directed to Lance Hamel at Lhamel@glts.net no l Project Description: The project site is located at 57 River Rd. in Andover, Massachusetts. 1. General Contractor is responsible for obtaining SWPPP & NPDES General Construction Permit. 2. Protection of existing roadways, walkways, curbs, parking areas, utilities, buildings, fence, amenities, and all other structures as indicated in the drawings. 3. Protection of all structures and surfaces not specified to be removed. 4. Conduct materials testing as indicated in the specifications including but not limited to soils and concrete testing. 5. Removal and disposal of existing structures, including but not limited to existing bituminous concrete and asphalt surfacing, fence posts, rails, fabric, foundation etc. 6. If applicable, removal and disposal of topsoil and subsoil where indicated in drawings. 7. Grade subbase and compact where needed. Test for compaction. 8. Install dense graded crushed stone and compact as needed. 9. Install curbing as needed and where indicated in drawings. 10. Inspect and clean all manhole and catch basin structures. Repair as necessary. If structures appear to be unsafe, contact Engineer to review and determine if structure will need to be replaced. 11. All structures shall be inspected, cleaned, and/or replaced prior to any paving operations. 12. Pave entryways, access roads, and parking lot per specifications and details. 13. Install fence posts if required per drawings. 14. Paint parking spaces and traffic symbols. 15. Install fence rails, fabric, gates, latches, locks etc. 16. Provide As Built documentation. 17. All work either shown on the Drawings or included in the specifications unless specifically indicated as not to be done. 18. Provide closeout documents per specifications. B. In addition, the Work under the Contract includes: 1. The restoration of any items damaged or destroyed by encroaching upon areas outside the Project Site. 2. Providing and restoring, where appropriate, all temporary facilities. 3. All other work indicated on the contract plans and/or specifications.
