***As of August 18, 2023. Project has been awarded to Vortex Construction from Bakersfield, CA, in the amount of $307,915.44. Remove and replace existing HVAC systems at 615 and 625 Glenwood Street facilities with energy efficient units and particulate filters. Work includes removal of existing piping for HVAC equipment to be removed; Installation of refrigeration lines for new HVAC equipment; Modifications to the electrical system to support the HVAC upgrades. Each bid shall be submitted on a form furnished as part of the Contract Documents and must be accompanied by cash, a cashier's check, a certified check, or a bidder's bond executed by an admitted surety insurer or substitute pursuant to Section 995.710 of the Code of Civil Procedure, in an amount not less than 10% of the amount of the bid, made payable to the order of or for the benefit of the City. The City Council of the City reserves the right to select the schedule(s) under which the bids are to be compared and contract(s) awarded, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any and all irregularities in any bid. The project, if awarded, will be based upon all work contemplated in the Base Bid. After selection by the City, alternate bid items may be added to the Base Bid. The City reserves the right to perform any combination of work detailed in the base bid plus alternate bids based on available funds. Each bidder is required to sign the attached Non-Collusion Affidavit and submit it with his bid. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
