All attendees must bring a valid driver's license, U.S. Passport, or TWIC to obtain entry. Please arrive at least 1/2 hour early to obtain security clearance prior to entry. This Contract has a combined MBE/WBE goal of 14.9%. The work may be performed by any combination of MBEs and WBEs. Itent of Plans and Specifications It is the intent that the Contract Documents shall prescribe a complete Work or improvement. The Contractor shall remove all obstructions from within the lines of the improvement; and shall do such additional, extra, and incidental Work as may be considered necessary to complete the Work in a substantial and acceptable manner; and when it is so completed, s/he shall leave the Work in a neat and finished condition. The Contractor shall do all the Work and furnish all the materials, equipment, tools, and appliances, except as otherwise specified, necessary or proper for performing and completing the Work required by the Contract, in the manner and within the time specified. S/He shall complete the entire Work to the satisfaction of the Engineer, and in accordance with the Contract Documents. All Work to be done and furnished under the Contract shall be done and furnished strictly pursuant to, and in conformity with the Contract Documents, and also in accordance with the directions of the Engineer as given from time to time during the progress of the Work pursuant to the terms of the Contract. The Notice to Contractors and the Proposal submitted by the Contractor shall also form part of the Contract. The Contract shall include grading, where indicated outside the location of the Work, and other miscellaneous Work as shown on the Plans and as directed. Copies of all A.S.T.M., F.A.A. and A.A.S.H.T.O. Specifications will be available for reference at the Capital Programs Department Office of the Authority. Article 21. Errors or Discrepancies In the event that the Contractor discovers or is made aware of any errors, inconsistencies, or omissions in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall promptly report such errors, inconsistencies, or omissions to the Engineer in writing as a request for information in such form as the Engineer may require. The Engineer shall review such request for information and respond to the Contractor in writing within fifteen (15) days of receipt of the Contractor's written request. The timely submission of such written request shall be a condition precedent to the right of the Contractor to receive any additional time or money related to such errors, inconsistencies, or omissions. The Engineer's interpretation or decision related to such errors, inconsistencies, or omissions shall be final. Notwithstanding anything stated to the contrary in the Contract Documents, the Contractor shall not be eligible for any additional time or money arising out of errors, inconsistencies, or omissions in the Plans, Specifications, or any portion(s) of the Contract Documents related to the Project's design, unless the Contractor acted in good faith reliance on the Plans, Specifications, or such portion(s) of the Contract Documents The work to be performed under this Contract includes: a. Site Clearance and Miscellaneous Demolition of Existing Structures b. Utility Installation, Removals, Diversions and Modifications c. Site Work d. Pavement and Utility Construction Site Clearance and Miscellaneous Demolition of Existing Structures: This work includes but is not limited to demolition of concrete slabs, foundations and RTG crane runways; removal of asphalt pavement; demolition of structures and equipment as required to complete the project, remove, and dispose of all excess materials. Drainage Installation, Removals, Diversions and Modifications: This work includes, but is not limited to, installation, diversion and modification of drainage including stormwater catch basins, sewers, and manholes. Work includes removal and/or resetting of existing drainage manholes, catch basins, and drainage pipes. Site Work: This work includes, but is not limited to, saw cutting and removal of pavement and roller-compacted concrete, filling, compaction, removal and storage of excesssoil material at locations as directed by the authority excavation,sub base,stone base, geo-grids, filling, compaction, concrete foundations, bollards, barriers, fencing, remove and store excess soil material at locations as directed by the authority, remove and dispose of excess and/or unsuitable soil material as directed by the Authority; removal and disposal of all excess materials. Pavement: This work includes, but is not limited to, grading of existing site; supply and installation of asphalt paving, signage, barriers, and pavement markings.
