Deadline to indicate your intent to Bid Aug 18th 2023, 12:00 AM EDT Cut-Off for Technical Questions July 22, 2023 10:00AM TARC is seeking design, install, implement, and maintain proposals that will provide the following required components: - Charging infrastructure to enable expansion to a total of 100 or more buses, with sufficient chargers in the first phase to support 20 buses. Must include necessary transformers, switchboard, switchgear, controls, mounting locations, conduit, electrical components, and any other necessary component. NOTE: TARC prefers the use of inverted pantograph type chargers, rather than dispensers. Space between bus bays is extremely limited. However, we believe there is sufficient height in the bays to mount pantographs. TARC expects eight (8) 150 kW chargers will be able to provide sufficient charging for the first twenty (20) buses delivered. However, will consider all well-reasoned options presented. - Controls and other components to regulate and monitor TARC's use of energy, manage demand, and mobilize any on-site distributed energy or storage as applicable. TARC does not currently use any charging management software. - Options and opportunities for supporting infrastructure to generate on-site power/energy with the intent to defray operating costs and/or provide redundancy. For instance, photovoltaic arrays on the roof or our Bus Barn have been estimated to be able to generate over 3.5 MWh of power annually TARC currently has eight (8) battery electric buses on order. According to the manufacturers, each of the eight buses will have 564 kWh of capacity on-board. Delivery is currently expected during the summer of 2024.
