The District-wide Security Upgrade project for Pasadena Independent School District will include upgrades, augmentation, and replacement of the following systems: Electronic Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, and Network/Structured Cabling. The existing BlueWave access control system will be replaced. OpenOptions DNA Fusion will be the software platform and will utilize the Mercury control board platform for device integration. Existing PoE Edge controllers above the access-controlled doors will be removed. Devices at the doors will be cabled to centralized panel(s) located as shown on project campus floor plans. All card readers will be replaced. All existing Lockdown buttons will be reconnected to the new control panels. New card readers will be installed adjacent to intrusion detection keypads for Arm/Disarm. The system will be programmed and integrated via software to the Intrusion Detection and Video Surveillance systems. The existing VideoInsight video management platform will be replaced. Milestone XProtect Expert is the preferred VMS. An alternate (VE) of Hanwha WAVE will be considered as part of the bid package. All analog cameras will be replaced and upgraded to new Hanwha PoEenabled cameras. New Cat6 cable will be pulled from existing camera locations back to the nearest MDF/IDF. IP cameras that are near or at manufacturer end-of-life status will be replaced as well. New camera locations will receive new Hanwha cameras and will require a new Cat6 cable from the nearest MDF/IDF. Existing cameras that are newer, not close to endof-life status, will be priced as an alternate, as part of the bid package. All new/upgraded cameras will require aiming/focusing in coordination with the owner, and shall be programmed into the VMS, per project specs. Cameras shall also be linked into the access control system mapping function. The existing DSC intrusion detection system will be replaced with Bosch at all campuses throughout the district. All keypads will be replaced, including a keypad adjacent to the main control panel in each campus. All perimeter doors shall have door contacts on them. Building perimeter glass, entry ways, and storage/electrical/mechanical spaces accessed from the building exterior shall also have coverage by motion detectors. All existing glass break sensors shall be removed. No glass break sensors shall be a part of this system. All devices shall be individually addressed/identified in the system. The intrusion detection system shall be fully integrated, via software, into the access control platform
