The New Hampshire Geological Survey (NHGS) within the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) is seeking bids for the installation of two (2) bedrock wells, to be located in Keene and Laconia, New Hampshire. The newly installed wells will be incorporated into the New Hampshire Groundwater Level Monitoring Network. The bedrock wells are to be drilled using airrotary drilling techniques to install a minimum 6-inch diameter borehole into bedrock. Permanent steel casing minimum 8-inches in diameter will be installed through the overburden above bedrock, as well as 20 feet into competent (un-weathered) bedrock. The permanent steel casing will be grouted into competent bedrock and left to cure overnight. Final depth of the bedrock wells will be determined during drilling based on field observations of groundwater conditions but are anticipated to be no more than 500 feet total depth. Once drilled, the bedrock portion of the wells will be left as open boreholes with no screen or internal casing installed. Once drilling of the wells has been completed, the contractor will pump the wells by air-lift method to develop the wells and determine the yield of the wells. Locking caps will be provided and installed at the top of the steel casing. Site preparation, fluid and sediment runoff control measures, and site restoration will be performed by the contractor. No well pumps, water piping, or utility trenches will be required for the bedrock wells. The wells will be installed by a licensed New Hampshire water well contractor in adherence to all applicable New Hampshire laws and rules. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project. If you are an interested contractor and wish to be listed as a bidder, please notify our editorial staff at addtobidlist@constructconnect.com. The State of New Hampshire reserves the right to cancel the award at any time before final notification to the successful bidder without any liability against the State. The New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
