The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to repair the bell tower on the Old Bethel Methodist Church at William H. Harsha Lake at 3294 Elklick Road, Bethel, OH 45106 (39.00744525350798, -84.13832140281762). Options includes potential for repair or refurbishment of church roof. Prices should include mobilization & de-mobilization, fuel, labor, material and equipment. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The estimated construction magnitude is between $100,000 and $250,000 Question Deadline 06/26/2023 at 11:00 AM ET Performance Work Statement. The contractor shall furnish all personnel, equipment, supplies and materials necessary to repair the bell tower on the Old Bethel Methodist Church at William H. Harsha Lake at 3294 Elklick Road, Bethel, OH 45106 (39.00744525350798, -84.13832140281762). Option includes potential for repair or refurbishment of church roof. Prices should include mobilization & de-mobilization, fuel, labor, material and equipment. The contractor's work and responsibility will include all planning, programming, administration, management, supervision, communications, and inspection necessary to assure that all work is conducted in accordance with the contract requirements and all applicable Federal, State and Local laws and regulations. All work will be performed in strict compliance with the attached specifications and all other terms and conditions incorporated herein. Base: Bell Tower Repair 1. Remove shingles on top of bell tower 2. Inspect decking and coordinate with Project Manager to replace damaged boards as noted in Option #2. 3. Install high-temp ice and water shield underlayment on decking. 4. Install new, bonderized galvanized steel, single-lock standing seam metal panel roof system to the concave Bell tower roof and fasten to decking. 5. Remove metal roofing below bell tower (bell will need to be moved prior). 6. Inspect decking below bell tower and coordinate with Project Manager to replace damaged boards as noted in Option #2 and install high-temp ice and water shield underlayment on decking. 7. Install new, bonderized galvanized steel, flat-lock panel roof system 8. Paint metal with industrial grade metal paint 9. Remove all siding below bell tower platform and inspect, performing necessary repairs. 10. Install moisture barrier over new sheathing 11. Install new, clear grade primed Cedar wood lap siding and corner stiles in "like-kind", fastened with stainless steel fasteners, caulking and painting all new cedar sider in kind. 12. Paint remaining wood and cresting to concave bell tower roof, matching current exterior paint schemes as best as possible Option 1: Roof Refurbishment and/or Replacement 1. Remove existing metal roof paneling and inspect deck boards in accordance with Option #2. 2. Replace any necessary deck boards according to inspection in accordance with Option #2. 3. Clean chimney brick face. Remove any loose mortar as needed and repoint with new mortar in kind. 4. Install high-temp ice and water shield underlayment on decking. 5. Install new bonderzied, galvanized steel half-round gutters to both sides of the church and properly secure to roof deck/facia with all seems of gutter hand soldered. Include new 4" Bonderized galvanized corrugated downspouts (two on each side) that extend from gutter to ground and are directed away from foundation. The gutter system should be painted with industrial grade metal paint in like color scheme with church. 6. Install drip edge and rake metal at all perimeters of roof. 7. Install new pre-finished metal panels on roof properly fastened to decking. Roof color will be decided on by contractor and POC during pre-work meeting. Aim is to match the previous color currently installed. 8. Fabricate and install new bonderized galvanized steel flashings for both chimneys and bell tower at roof line. All seams hand soldered and painted to match church. 9. Install new counter-flashing for base of bell tower and paint to match church. 10. Re-install any previously removed siding 11. Install new metal ridge cap
