As of August 3, 2023, no bids received for this project. Rebid will be sometime in January 2024 The City of Nashua is seeking bids for the construction of a segment of the proposed Nashua Riverwalk extending from the Main Street Nashua River bridge for a distance of 375 feet westerly along the north side of the Nashua River towards Front Street. Portions of the boardwalk will be suspended from the existing 53 Main Street building foundation, while the remainder will be supported on concrete footings or drilled concrete pier foundations. Proposed improvements include the construction of the boardwalk, demolition and reconstruction of the existing deck at 53 Main Street, removal of a portion of the concrete bridge rail on the Main Street Bridge, boardwalk connections to the sidewalk at the Main Street Bridge on the east and to the existing Riverwalk path on the west,and associated new lighting. Other work includes but is not limited to underground utility coordination, and coordinating electrical service for the decorative rail lighting system.Completion of the foundations (drilled concrete piers, concrete footings and walls) shall be by December 1, 2023. Substantial completion is defined in Section 1.01, Item 43 of the General Conditions shall be by May 31, 2024. Final completion ready for public use June 28, 2024. Liquidated damages of $1,280 for each working day will be assessed for delays beyond the established dates for substantial completion and final completion. The City of Nashua, through the Mayor, who is awarding authority, reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts of bids; to waive any defects, information, and minor irregularities; to accept exceptions to these specifications; to award contracts or to cancel this request if in the City's best interest. If a Bidder chooses to submit their bid outside of Bid Express, the following are alternate options: Paper: Submit one (1) paper copy and one digital copy on a USB drive sealed in envelope(s) and packages(s) clearly marked "IFB0285-071223". Bids must be submitted in the format provided and addresses the item(s) specified in the IFB package. Postmarks or other timestamps will not be accepted in lieu of actual delivery. Bidders can use whatever delivery mechanism it chooses as long as it remains clear that the Bidder is responsible for submissions prior to the date and time. The meeting is an opportunity for the City of Nashua to overview the project and objectives, and participants to request additional information directly from City of Nashua staff managing or participating in the project. Bidders are encouraged to submit questions via email; however, the City assumes no liability for assuring accurate and complete email transmission/receipt and is no responsible to acknowledge receipt.
