Lake View Management & Development District (LVMDD) is a municipal utility district in the State of Texas, with regulatory authority to build, operate, and maintain utilities and roads in the Long Cove community in Henderson County, TX. LVMDD is seeking a contractor to provide and install improvements and upgrades to the public water supply system operated by LVMDD, under the authority of the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). This public bid is specifically for completing construction of all the work shown in a set of plans prepared by Baird Hampton Brown licensed engineers in the State of Texas. All the work included in this public bid is shown in the construction documents, and all project specifications are provided and detailed in the plans. The scope of work includes the following major components: One additional 43,841-gallon ground water storage tank One new 10,000-gallon hydro-pneumatic pressure tank 2-30 HP pumps Backup power generators (125 KW and 50 KW) for both the plant site and the remote well site All bidders (general contractors) shall attend 1 of 2 offered pre-bid meetings that will be conducted at Long Cove. The meetings will include site visits. Since Long Cove is a gated residential community, bidders shall advise the contract administrator 48 hours in advance via email nancy@teamphillipsinc.com or text 214-535-1758 to RSVP to confirm attendance at a pre-bid meeting. Bidders shall seek entry via the secure construction gate at 13240 CR 1400, Malakoff, TX 75148 to await access by the gate attendant. Engineer's Estimate $465,000 Each bid shall be accompanied by a Cashier's Check or Bid Bond, acceptable to the District, in an amount not less than two percent (2%) of the total amount bid (Base Bid) as a guarantee that the successful bidder will enter into a proper Contract and execute Bonds on the forms provided in the Contract Documents. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the total Contract price, from a surety company holding a permit from the State of Texas to act as surety. The surety company must have a minimum Best Key Rating of "B" or better. The surety company, the agency and agent issuing the Performance and Payment Bond must be authorized to issue such bonds in Texas in an amount equal to or greater than the total contract price. The District reserves the right to conduct an independent evaluation of each bidders' qualifications and experience prior to award of a Contract. At the option of the District, all or part of the submitted bid may be awarded. The District also reserves the right to reject any or all bids and cancel the project.
