Certified checks shall be made payable to the Jersey City Municipal Utilities Authority. The bidder and its surety shall provide a consent of surety and the surety shall be bound to furnish a performance and payment bond in the amount of one hundred (100 %) percent of the contract price The Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities, or to accept the bid for the contract that, in its sole judgment, best serves the interests of the Authority, in accordance with applicable law. The bidder's bid shall hold firm for sixty (60) days. Mutually agreed upon extensions of time may be made, if necessary, and in accordance with law. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of sixty (60) days subsequent to the opening of bids without the written consent of the Authority
