Addendum #1 will be issued on August 9th. The bid opening date will be changed to August 18, 2023, 11:00 am prevailing time. In general, the work on this project consists of the installation of new sanitary sewer main system and connection to the Camden County Municipal Authority (CCMUA) Interceptor Sewer on Park Boulevard in the Township of Cherry Hill, Camden County, New Jersey, as shown in the plans and as specified herein. The work of this project consists of the following: A. Contractor shall be advised that all Construction activities shall be completed between September 5, 2023 and May 24, 2024. Materials shall be ordered prior to this date but construction is limited to this time frame. All work, including demolition of the existing Erlton Pump Station and milling and overlaying the entrance to the Erlton Swim Club, shall be completed during this time. B. Water main construction may also be performed during the same time period. Water mains will be constructed along the North side of Park Boulevard in order to minimize conflicts with the sewer main installation. Contractor shall coordinate their work with the water main contractor to prevent interference during construction. Contractor shall also coordinate these activities with the County for traffic control. C. Furnish and install a new sanitary sewer conveyance system as shown on the plans and as specified herein. Reconnect all existing sanitary sewer laterals. Contractor shall utilize trench boxes to minimize disturbance to roadway, curbs, trees, and other site features in the area of work. D. Furnish and install new connection between the new sewer main and existing CCMUA Interceptor with a new doghouse manhole. Connection shall be made as shown on the plans and specified herein. E. Furnish and installation of two (2) metering stations with Palmer Bowlus flumes, complete. F. Rehabilitation of existing sanitary sewer mains and manholes using trenchless technology as shown on the Plans and specified herein. Manhole rehabilitation shall include modifications to channels and capping of pipes where no longer required. G. Provide all required by-pass pumping systems. The conveyance system must be in operation at all times and bypassing shall be performed as required for completion of the various sections of sewer main construction. All costs for bypassing to be included in the various items in the Proposal. Special Construction Notes: All costs for the sanitary sewer main shall also include the costs for the temporary by-pass pumping. Questions Deadline: 7/6/23 at 12:00 PM Limitation on Stored Materials: Materials stored in public right-of-ways shall be anticipated to be installed within the next five working days (maximum). Contractor shall schedule the delivery and unloading of materials to conform to this requirement. Traffic control devices suitable for day and nighttime conditions shall be incorporated to alert the public of the materials presence. Contractor is responsible for snow/ice removal if materials are buried due to environmental conditions and/or snow removal operations. Materials storage shall incorporate soil erosion techniques.
