As of August 1, 2023, project was awarded to Northstar Asphalt, Inc., awarded amount is $2,453,384.15. Mix asphalt resurfacing project The Engineer s Estimate for this project Base Bid is: $2,410,000.00. A pre-bid conference will not be held by the Stark County Engineer's Office If any questions or clarifications are needed answered, please email them to us prior to July 3, 2023 at 10:00AM and we will address them accordingly. Construction work shall be subject to the prevailing wage rates established by the Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the form of (1) a certified check, or cashier's check, or letter of credit equal to ten percent (10%) of the bid; or (2) a bid guaranty bond for the full amount of the bid; both forms of guaranties as provided in Chapter 153 of the Ohio Revised Code and in the project specifications. The amount of the bid for said guaranty purposes shall include all additive alternates. All bid guaranties shall be conditioned that if the bid is accepted within sixty (60) days of the bid opening The commissioners further declare that they will award the contract for this project to the lowest and best bid which may not necessarily be the lowest bid. No single factor will control the Board's decision to award, and the Board reserves the right to exercise its full discretion Construction Work shall be substantially completed by June 15,2024. There will be an interim completion date ofOctober 31,2023 for a portion ofthe roads, all outlined in the General Notes from the Bid Package.
