The City reserves the right to reject, for any reason, any or all bids if it is in the best interest(s) of the City to do so Unless otherwise stated in the Bid Documents, the Contractor is responsible for obtaining and paying for all necessary permits and licenses for the proper authorities. The Contractor shall give all notices and comply with all laws, ordinances, rules, and regulations bearing on the conduct of the work as drawn and specified. If the Contractor observes that the contract documents are at variance therewith, he/she shall promptly notify the City of Pittsburgh in writing The Contractor agrees that section 161.16(e) of the Pittsburgh Code of Ordinances, stating that the Contractor shall pay at least the applicable prevailing wages as shall have been determined by the City Controller pursuant to the City of Pittsburgh Service Worker Prevailing Wage Ordinance, Title I, Article VII, Section 161.38(I)(B), and as shall have been determined by the Secretary of Labor and Industry to the workers employed in the performance of any contract for public work subject to the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act approved August 15, 1961 (Act No. 442), as amended August 9, 1963 (Act No. 342), and the regulations issued pursuant thereto, and all supplements and amendments thereto, shall bemade a part of this agreement as fully as if attached hereto, and that s/he will comply in all respects with the provisions thereof, insofar as the same affects this contract. The successful bidder may be required to furnish a performance and/or payment bond with suitable reasonable requirements guaranteeing performance of the contract, with sufficient surety in the amount of one hundred (100) percent of the amount of the contract, within thirty (30) days after the contract has been awarded, unless the Purchasing Officer shall prescribe a shorter period. Upon failure to furnish any required bond within such time, the previous award shall be void and the contract may be awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder meeting the specifications. A bid guarantee shall be in the form of either a surety bond, certified check, cashiers check, or letter of credit in the amount of five percent of the bid, and a contract bond/performance bond or letter of credit for the full amount of the contract including all items of overhead July 15, 2023, through March 31, 2024, with one, one year option to renew.
