Replace Accessibility Lift with Type 3 door opening arrangement (door openings at a right angle to each other) shows a minimum clear hoistway dimension of 55-3/8" (1407mm) wide by 66-5/8" (1692mm) sufficient for a platform with clear interior dimensions of 43" (1067mm) by 60" (1524mm). The existing overrun is sufficient for a new standard lift platform and rails, and existing pit depth is also sufficient whether a buffer spring is or is not provided. Existing hoistway dimensions appear to be within 30mm of minimum hoistway clearance in one dimension. Other dimensions seem to provide more than minimal clearances, or may require modest modification to permit installation of a new lift system. New controls to have appropriate visual and tactile information (raised characters and Braille) to provide service for visually impaired users. Scope based on a feasibility study on June 3, 2022.
