The Work consists of pickleball courts and parking expansion at Pouncey Tract Park located at 4747 Pouncey Tract Road, Glen Allen, Virginia. The project will convert the existing adult softball field into a 12 pickleball court complex with adjacent new parking lot consisting of 103 new spaces. The approximately 2.25 acres of new impervious areas will include hardscape and court areas to include two championship courts (44' x 74') and ten standard courts (34' x 64'), plus pedestrian seating, circulation areas and roadway improvements. Acrylic court surfacing and LED Sports lighting will be provided, and all courts will be illuminated to approximately 50-footcandles. Site work will include a new parking lot to support the court areas, additional park access road lane, and extensive underground storm water detention facility (54,161 CF of storage). Supporting construction activities, demolition work, site lighting, landscaping, fencing, shade systems, shade structure, and standard erosion & sediment control measures will be required. An additive bid to provide a metal building structure to cover each of the championship pickleball courts is included for consideration.
