The contractor must be able to perform all tasks related to the services identified below and not limited to: Membrane cleaning; Debris cleaning; Drain cleaning; Remove all redundant or obsolete boxes and repair the membrane according to the specified repair techniques. Modified bitumen membrane on upstands; Replacement of putty boxes; Replacement of deteriorated sealant; Repair of wrinkles, blisters and cracked membrane; Tin works: Replace all damaged pieces of metal flashing and counter flashing. When replacing metal flashings, reinforce all vertical joints of the membrane under the metal flashings. Apply a coat of anti-rust primer to all metal flashings showing rust then apply a coat of exterior paint. Correct the slope of horizontal flashings when they have a negative slope (towards the wall). Change the slope so that the flashings are a 2° outward slope. Plumbing Vent: Raise all plumbing vents to a minimum height of 12'' above the gravel surface of the roof. Seal them and insulate them with spray urethane. Caulking work: Apply new sealant to all joints between materials where sealant is missing where needed. Replace all sealant joints over 5 years old with new ones. Official bid documents must be obtained from www.bgis.merx.com and bid submissions must be done through the Merx platform.
