Hammond Pond Parkway Improvements: installation of erosion and sediment control, reconstruction and mill/overlay of the parkway, installation of two traffic signal locations, new street lighting system, modifications to the existing drainage system, plantings, installation of guardrail and other incidental work necessary to complete the proposed project. The work is to be accomplished within 730 calendar days of a notice to proceed\ The contract also includes the participation of Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises ( VOBE ). The Veteran-Owned Business Enterprise participation benchmark for this contract is 3.0%. The contractor should consider these participation goals of 10.4% MBE/WBE and 3.0% VOBE as requirements under the contract. Compliance will be monitored by DCR throughout the duration of the work and will be included as part of periodic payments, contract close-out and contractor final evaluation. The project consists of, but is not limited to the following: installation of erosion and sediment control, establishment of temporary traffic controls, clearing and grubbing, excavation (including temporary earth support system, if selected by the Contractor), staged modifications to Bridge No. N-12-060, installation of the proposed shared use path (including amenities), full depth reconstruction and mill/overlay of the parkway, installation of two traffic signal locations, installation of a new street lighting system, modifications to the existing drainage system, new plantings, installation of guardrail and other incidental work necessary to complete the proposed project.
