Elliott West Wet Weather Treatment Station (EWWTS): The EWWTS pumps, screens, and disinfects wet weather flows that exceed the storage capacity of the Mercer and Denny combined sewer overflow (CSO) tunnels. The primary objective of the project is to bring the facility into full permit compliance with the West Point Treatment Plant National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit. The scope includes expansion of the existing facility, including the addition of new screens, treatment utilizing ballasted sedimentation, disinfection (UV or Hypochlorite dosing), expansion of electrical services, and chemical storage. Total project budget is approximately $450M.
