Site Directions: 3701 Point Betsie Road, Frankfort, Michigan 49635 The Project consists of improvements to the shoreline protection system that separates the Point Betsie Light Station from Lake Michigan. The Project shall be constructed between April 01, 2024, and October 31, 2024, with final site restoration completed by no later than May 30, 2025. Owner has the majority of the funds for the construction of the Project; the remaining funds from public and private sources will be obtained based on the Bid amount. Owner intends to issue a Conditional Notice of Award to the successful Bidder within 60 days after the Bid opening and issue a final Notice of Award no later than December 31, 2023. Est. Completion Date: May 30, 2025 Questions may be directed to Peter Hinck, PE, Barr Engineering Company, 616.512.7032, phinck@barr.com. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Owner in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than five days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. Addenda may be issued to clarify, correct, supplement, or change the Bidding Documents as deemed advisable by Owner or Engineer.
