No definite date for the rebid.** The project generally consists of the construction of several engineered wood-framed structures along with a vehicle car wash station, including concrete footings, foundations, and floor slabs. In addition, the contractor shall be responsible for the renovation of an existing restroom within an existing building along with the removal and relocation of several overhead garage doors. The Contractor will be required to deliver the product defined under the contract within 180 calendar days forward from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". The plans, specifications and other contract documents for the proposed work, may be examined at the office of the Township Engineer during business hours at 2201 Heck Avenue, Neptune, NJ 07753. Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Neptune, ATTN: Engineering Department, bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Vendors that desire to attend the bid opening shall wait outside of the Administration Building Lobby until the time of the bid opening. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, drawn on an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Township of Neptune, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will, within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. The checks of all bidders will be returned according to law. No interest shall be allowed upon any such check.
