The cost estimate for this project is $998,000.00. Martin County is seeking bids from licensed Contractors for the construction of a new 1,700 SF Marine Patrol building and all other ancillary appurtenances located at Sandsprit Park in Stuart, FL. Bid Notice/Special Conditions Sandsprit Park is an open Martin County Parks and Recreation facility. All areas outside of construction fence (as depicted on Sheet SP-100) is to remain open and accessible during the entirety of the work: a. Construction parking, may occur within the (4) parking spaces designated on Sheet SP-100 b. Any additional parking or equipment staging and construction work is to take place only within the construction fence. c. Under no circumstance are the accessible parking spaces and the (sidewalks) accessible route to all park facilities to be blocked at any time. The bond shall be on the Bid Guaranty form provided by the County, with Power of Attorney Affidavit attached, in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount (base bid plus any and all alternates). Alternate bond forms will not be accepted. Failure to provide the County bond forms may deem the bid nonresponsive. In lieu of the Bid Bond, the bid may be accompanied by a certified check of any national or state bank made payable to the County in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. Substantial completion shall be within 270 calendar days (from issuance of Notice to Proceed). Liquidated damages shall be $1,200.00 per day. The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids when (i) such rejection is in the interest of the County; (ii) such bid is void per se; or (iii) the bid contains any irregularities, provided, however, that the County reserves the right to waive any minor irregularities and to accept the lowest responsible and responsive bid determined by the County.
