The project involves mobilizing to a site that comprises of seven streets with waterlines that require rehabilitation. Pipe-bursting is proposed for five of the streets using 6" HDPE pipe, while the remaining two streets will use 8" HDPE pipe. The contractor is responsible for relocating hydrants, including adding gate valves and boxes, as well as reconnecting all service connections. Furthermore, the contractor is expected to restore all vault sites to their original state, including replacing driveways, sodding, and fences as necessary. To be eligible for the project, the contractor must possess at least 50,000 LF of water line pipe bursting experience. Estimate: $950,000- $1,000,000 The work primarily consists of the installation of the following: 1. Approximately 5,250 linear feet of 6-inch PVC water line pipe bursting as called out on plans and specs, along with various appurtenances. 2. Approximately 2,150 linear feet of 8-inch PVC water line pipe bursting as called out on plans and specs, along with various appurtenances. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee in the form of a certified check, cashiers check, or acceptable Bid Bond, payable to Harris County Water Control and Improvement District No. 91, in an amount not less than 5% of the maximum Bid price submitted, as a guarantee that the bidder will enter into a contract within Ten (10) days after receipt of the contract documents. Check shall be drawn on a responsible bank in the state and a bid bond shall be issued by a surety legally authorized to do business in the state. The right is reserved, as the interest of the district may require, to reject any or all bids and/or to waive any irregularities in bids received. Additionally, 24 hours after bids are opened, they cannot be withdrawn. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
