As of June 31, 2023, project was awarded to Bottom 2 Top Construction, LLC, awarded amount is $4,173,187.31. The Project includes the following Work: The project includes, but is not limited to, construction of roadway and sidewalk, storm and sanitary sewer utilities, waterline, electrical, irrigation system, and landscaping in the development of a commercial district. The maximum allowable number of consecutive calendar days for the completion of Work (the Contract Time) is set forth in the Bid Proposal and will be included in the executed Agreement. The project will be subject to liquidated damages in the amount of One Thousand Dollars ($1,000) per consecutive calendar day for each day in default after the stipulated completion date. The contract time will begin when the Contractor commences work on this project but no later than the tenth consecutive calendar day after receipt of a notice to proceed from the Owner. No oral, telegraphic, telephonic, or e-mail proposals will be considered. Each bidder shall write his Name, his Address, and his Certificate of Responsibility number/or a statement that the bid enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000) on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. Questions submitted after this date will not be considered. An acknowledged received copy of all Addenda issued by the Engineer via Plan House must be included with the bid proposal. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond or Certified Check in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of his Base Bid, payable to the City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, as bid security. In the event that an electronic bid is submitted, a copy of the bid bond must be included with the submission. If submitting electronically, a hard copy of all bid documents must be provided within 3 business days if requested after the bid opening. The successful bidder shall furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the bid. A non-resident requirements shall be met. The City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bidding. Bids may be held by the City of Diamondhead, Mississippi, for a period not to exceed sixty (60) days from the date of the opening of bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of Bidders, prior to awarding of the contract. The project is funded by Gulf Coast Restoration Fund Grant Program and the requirements for this grant including the procurement process shall be followed including opportunity for participation by minority and women-owned business enterprises in the procurement of goods and services.
