This project shall consist of: furnishing all labor, tools, materials, and equipment necessary for construction of the SE 256th Street Overlay Project. Specific work includes, but is not limited to, removal and reconstruction of limited pavement areas, pavement planing, asphalt paving, pavement markings, ADA ramp replacements, relocation of pedestrian push button, traffic control and other miscellaneous items as further shown, described, and indicated in the Contract Documents. The city anticipates awarding this project to the successful bidder and intends to give Notice to Proceed as soon as the Contract and all required documents are executed in full. Regardless of the date of award or Notice to Proceed, the contractor must complete all work within 25 working days. Any questions must be directed to Bob Lindskov, City Engineer, by email at blindskov@covingtonwa.gov, or by letter addressed to same. Questions must be received by the city no later than 5:00 p.m All bids and this Project shall be governed by the Contract, as defined by the Washington State Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal Construction 2023 (Standard Specifications), unless otherwise noted, which is incorporated by this reference as though set forth in full. All bid proposals shall be in accordance with the Contract and all bid proposals shall be accompanied by a bid deposit or bond in the amount required in the Contract. Forfeiture of the proposal bond or deposit to the City shall be in accordance with the Contract. The City of Covington, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for award. Financing of the Project has been provided by the City of Covington, Washington and the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board. The City of Covington reserves the right to reject any and all bids, waive any informalities or minor irregularities in the bidding, and determine which bid or bidder meets the criteria set forth in the bid The estimated cost of this project, for all bid schedules, is in the range of $475,000 and $525,000. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document.
