The City is requesting bid prices on the re- striping of various streets within the City of Auburn in an amount not to exceed $250,000. The streets will be determined by the City and the City reserves the right to remove streets, if necessary, to meet budget constraints. This contract will provide for a price guarantee for one (1) year with the City having the option to renew for two (2) consecutive one (1) year terms. The work will consist principally of the following pay items: ITEM DESCRIPTION UNIT Traffic Control Markings, Class 2, Type A (White) SF Solid White, Class 2, Type A Traffic Stripe (5" Wide) LF Broken White, Class 2, Type A Traffic Stripe (5" Wide) LF Solid Yellow, Class 2, Type A Traffic Stripe (5" Wide) LF Pavement Markers, Class A-H, Type 1B EA Traffic Control Legends, Class 2, Type A (White) SF Plans, specifications Guarantee will be required with each bid to submit the following: At least five percent (not to exceed $10,000) of the amount bid in the form of a certified or cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama The successful bidder is responsible for acquiring the appropriate business licenses and permits to conduct work with the City of Auburn The City reserves the right to select the lowest responsible bidder as the best interest of the City may require, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in bids received.
