**As of August 3, 2023, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $1,294,416.76** The work to be performed under this contract includes the following: Base Bid 1 Improvements to Carlough Road. The improvements include the milling and resurfacing of the roadway, spot curb and driveway repairs, drainage improvements, and traffic striping and signage. Base Bid 2 Improvements to Pleasant Avenue. The improvements include the milling and resurfacing of the roadway, spot curb and driveway repairs, drainage improvements, and traffic striping and signage. Base Bid 3 Improvements to Various Roads. The improvements include the milling and resurfacing of various roads within the Borough of Upper Saddle River to the limits identified in the Contract Documents. Also included is drainage improvements, driveway and curb replacement, and ancillary items. Principal items of work in the project include: Base Bid 1 15,110 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 2,205 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 SurfaceCourse Base Bid 2 10,535 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 1,545 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 SurfaceCourse Base Bid 3 48,050 S.Y. HMA Milling, 3" or Less 6,415 TON Hot Mix Asphalt 9.5M64 SurfaceCourse 5,200 L.F. 9" x 6" Hot Mix Asphalt Curb The work contemplated under this Contract shall be completed within 90 calendar days of notice to proceed. Such checks and Bonds shall be made payable to the Owner and will be held as a Guarantee that in the event the Bid is accepted and a Contract awarded to the bidder, the Contract shall be duly executed and its performance properly secured. Further, the successful bidder must furnish the policies or Certificates of Insurance required by the Contract. In default thereof, said checks and the amount represented thereby will be forfeited to the aforesaid Owner as liquidated damages. Bids must be accompanied, in the case of corporations not chartered in New Jersey, by proper certificate that such corporation is authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey. Bidders are required to comply with the requirements of N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq. and N.J.A.C. 17:27 regarding equal employment opportunity, as amended. All corporations and partnerships must comply with Chapter 33, of the P.L. of 1977, regarding disclosure of partners and stockholders. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all provisions of prevailing wage rates as determined by the New Jersey Department of Labor. All bids shall be irrevocable, not subject to withdrawal and shall stand available for a period of sixty (60) days. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities or irregularities in the bids received and to accept the bid from the lowest responsible bidder.
