Renovation of Langham Creek High School in Harris County which includes, but is not limited to, the following scope of work Renovation of existing orchestra room; welding shop addition; art room addition; renovation of front entry reception; installation of impact-resistant glazing; new athletic storage; renovation to shot put and discus pads; refinishing gym floors; tennis court renovations; parking lot repairs; replacement of switchgear, HVAC controls, cooling towers, boiler, and intercom system; and security upgrades. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all proposals and to waive any informality in the Competitive Sealed Proposal process. No proposal shall be withdrawn within sixty (60) days after the proposal opening without the specific consent of the Owner. Refer to Offerors Section Document AB. The Contractor is the person or entity identified as such in the Agreement and is referred to throughout the Contract Documents as if singular in number. The Contractor shall be lawfully licensed, if required in the jurisdiction where the Project is located. The Contractor shall designate in writing a representative who shall have express authority to bind the Contractor with respect to all matters under this Contract. The term "Contractor" means the Contractor or the Contractors authorized representative. A contractor or subcontractor does not violate this section if a public body awarding a contract does not determine the prevailing wage rates and specify the rates in the contract as provided A Proposal Bond from a bonding company acceptable to the Owner or a certified check in an amount equal to 10% of the greatest amount proposed must accompany each offeror's proposal. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each in an amount equal to 100% of the Contract Sum conditioned upon the faithful performance of the Contract will be required.
