The City of Richmond is accepting bids for the construction of the Southside Community Center Addition - Phase II, Part 2 project to provide general contracting services that include, but are not limited to Demolition, Electrical; Plumbing; Mechanical (HVAC); Carpentry; Roofing, Elevator, Earthwork, Concrete, Masonry, Finishes, Doors, Windows, Structural Metal, Flooring, Fire Suppression, Paving, Storm Drainage, etc... General Information. The project consists of demolition and replacement of approximately 25,700 square feet of total new addition area at the Southside Community Center, located 6255 Old Warwick Road, Richmond, VA 23225 as detailed in the project plans and specifications. Construction will be done per the plans and all work can be done during normal working hours unless approved by owners rep. Construction services to include, but are not limited to all prime, subcontractor, and supplier services necessary to provide complete turnkey management and delivery of the project. Typical construction areas of construction work will include, but are not limited to, Demolition, Electrical; Plumbing; Mechanical (HVAC); Carpentry; Roofing, Elevator, Earthwork, Concrete, Masonry, Finishes, Doors, Windows, Structural Metal, Flooring, Fire Suppression, Paving, Storm Drainage, etc… All work shall be in accordance with the project plans and specifications prepared by Worley Associates Architects and dated September 1, 2022. The successful bidder, per a fully executed construction contract, will be issued a contrac“Notice to Proceed” with the following schedule performance requirements: 1) Fifteen (15) consecutive calendar days from issuance of Notice to Proceed to finalize subcontracts, submittal review and approval and placing the order for critical lead time items 2) An additional duration of (495) consecutive calendar days to achieve substantial completion (95%+ complete and Owner beneficial occupancy) 3) Final 100% completion of all construction and associated closeout documents within the next (30) consecutive calendar days.
