The project is expected to be awarded on August 8,2023.** The Engineer's estimated construction cost ranges from $125,000 to $175,000 for the base bids. The Contractor shall possess at least one of the following valid Contractor's licenses at the time the bids are opened: Class "A": General Engineering Contractor, or; Class "C-8": Concrete Contractor. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The scope of work is generally for constructing curb ramps and installing rectangular rapid flashing beacons (RRFBs) at two intersections on Bailey Road in the City of Concord. Work shall include traffic control, pedestrian detours, staging of the work, water pollution control program, clearing and grubbing, curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drain improvements, asphalt concrete removal, hot mix asphalt, pavement marking removal and installation; and such other items or details that are required by the Plans, Standard Specifications, the Special Provisions and as directed by the Engineer. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope entitled "City Project No. 2601 - Bailey Road Crossing Enhancements". THE BIDDER'S GUARANTEE SHALL BE IN AN AMOUNT EQUAL TO AT LEAST TEN PERCENT (10%) OF THE AMOUNT BID AND MADE PAYABLE TO THE CITY OF CONCORD.
