As of August 9, 2023, the project has been and is expected to be rebid by the end of 2023, however an exact rebid date has not been established as of yet. South Hanover Township will receive sealed bids online for the Swatara Creek Force Main Replacement Project. The work will include, but not necessarily be limited to, the construction of approximately 1,500-linear foot HDPE sanitary sewer force main, and other work specified in the contract. A certified check or bid bond for the amount of 10 percent of the total bid shall be required. Bonds are to be issued by a surety licensed to do business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Bids shall remain open for a period of 60 days from the date of Bid opening unless award is delayed by a required approval from a governmental agency, the sale of bonds, or the award of a grant or grants, in which event the Bids shall remain open for a period of 120 days from the date of Bid opening. Bids may not be withdrawn during this period. See Instructions to Bidders for other provisions on the time available for acceptance of Bids. All Bidders must bid on all items listed on the Bid Form. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The successful Bidder shall substantially complete the project within 60 calendar days of receipt of the Notice to Proceed. South Hanover Township reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids. *The value for this project is based on a financial range.
